Lois Wilbanks Powell, age 82, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away Thursday, April 11, 2019 at Hamilton Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Powell; sister, Marcelle Leroy; and brother, Vernon Wilbanks.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of Grove Level Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Kay Powell Phillips and son, Clay Powell both of Dalton; grandchildren, Josh and Jenny Shoemaker, Stephanie Jinright, Dustin Powell and Luke Phillips; great-grandchildren, Braelyn and Enslee Shoemaker; and nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Sunday, April 14, at 2 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Willis officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday, April 14, from 11 a.m. until the service time at 2 p.m.
Burial will be in the West Hill Cemetery.
