Jessie Whitfield
Jessie Juanita Whitfield died April 15, 2019.
A native of Belfast, Tn., she lived most of her life in Houston.
Mrs. Whitfield is survived by two daughters, Sabrina Whitfield Hammond, M.D. and Teryl Whitfield Sprouse, J.D. (Peter); four grandchildren, Hillary Hammond, D.V.M. (Everardo Flores), Lillian Hammond, Whiney Hammond Reynolds (Steven) and John Dallas Hammond; two great-grandsons, Leo Flores and Lucas Flores; one great-granddaughter, London Flores; and a very special "son", Gregory McAvee.
Also among the survivors are sisters, Geraldine Gibbs, Sara Murphy, Audrey Pope (Oscar), Brenda McLean, and brothers, James Sherman Davis Judy), and Gary Davis (Valerie); a host of nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Miriam Coleman and Gloria Coleman and long-time friend, Mary Louise Jenkins.
