Avery, Roland, Jr. (Trenton)

Roland Avery, Jr., 66, of Trenton, died early Wednesday, April 17, 2019 in a local hospital.

He was of the Christian faith, a 1970 graduate of Dade County High School and was the owner/operator of Roland Avery General Contractor. 

Roland was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Roland Avery, Sr. and Robbie Louise Bishop Avery.

Survivors include his wife, Becky Avery, of Trenton; daughter, Amy (Jason) Thompson, of LaFayette; son, Shane (Stacy) Avery, of Trenton; sister, Joan (Tom) Tucker, of Rising Fawn; grandchildren, Devin Avery, A.J. Thompson and Ashlynn Avery.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, April 20 at 5 p.m. in the old sanctuary of Trenton United Methodist Church, with Rev. Reese Fauscett officiating. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital at stjude.org. Expressions of sympathy may be shared at ryanfuneralhome.net.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 2 p.m. until the service hour at Trenton United Methodist Church old sanctuary.
