Toney, Aaron Jean (Jasper)

  • Monday, April 22, 2019

Aaron Jean Toney returned to his heavenly home on April 20, 2019 after an extended illness.

His love and devotion to his family and his strong belief in God provided the strength to sustain his illness and ultimately gave him peace. Aaron loved music, his family, and was an avid Auburn Tigers fan. His greatest pleasure in life was spending time with nieces and nephews. He was a member of Kimball Baptist Church.

Aaron was preceded in death by his parents, David and Lucy Toney; Buford and Dot Graham. Also preceding him in death were his sons, Graham Toney and Tommy Toney. Siblings that preceded Aaron’s death were Dorothy Miles, Sue Elledge, Arthur Joe Toney, and James Toney.

Left to carry on Aaron’s legacy is his loving wife, Sharon Toney; siblings, Ann (Steve) Sellers, Judy (Dean) Cartwright, David Toney, Fred (Susan) Toney, Donnie Toney, Marion Toney, Jackie Gainer, Sidney (Joe) Roberts; grandson, Jacob Toney; and several nieces and nephews. Those nieces and nephews that loved Aaron dearly and were closest to him were Crystal, Curtis, and Cara Lynn Spangler; Brian, Brianna, Jacob and Sarah White; Jeremy, Cynthia, Corbin, Kaden, Taryn, and Jordan White; Kelly, Ricky, Rylie, and Rorie Cox; Kyle, Hasmik, and Alexandra Sellers; and Kelicia Sellers. Special thanks to family friend and nurse to Aaron, Judy Talley.

The funeral service will be conducted at noon, central time, Tuesday, April 23, at the Jasper Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home with Reverend Troy Luttrell and Reverend Steve Sellers officiating.

Burial will follow at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until noon at Rogers Funeral Home in Jasper.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Kimball Baptist Church Building Fund, 1500 Main Street, Kimball, Tn. 37347.

Arrangements are by the Jasper Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home, 21 East Fifth Street, Jasper, 423 942-2682.
