Williene Wade Robertson, 83, a resident of Hixson, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, April 6, 2019.

Willene was born on Feb. 1, 1936, in Decatur, Tn., to the late William Thomas and Erna Campbell Wade.  She was a member of Rechoboth Baptist Church in Soddy Daisy.  Willene graduated from McMinn County High School where she played the trumpet and French horn in the marching band.  She also studied at Tennessee Wesleyan College in Athens, Tn.  She moved to Washington D.C. and worked for the Department of Agriculture, then moved to Nashville, and worked for the Internal Revenue Service.  For several years she taught kindergarten at Lupton Drive Baptist Church.  She retired from Tennessee Valley Authority.  She will forever be remembered as a loving wife and mother, and doting “mamaw” to her grandchildren.

In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Violet Wade Hamel of Decatur and Mary Blevins Kimbrough of Riceville.

She leaves behind her devoted husband, C.L. “Robbie” Robertson of 63 years; son, Charles Wade (Kim) Robertson; daughter, Connie Lynn Robertson (Clay) Scholl; grandson, Rev. Ryan Wade (Julie) Robertson; granddaughter, Jennifer Renee (Jake) Elrod; great-grandchildren, Trinity Taylor Robertson, Elijah Wade Robertson and Caroline Renee Elrod.

A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 9, in the chapel of Hamilton Funeral Home with Reverend Alan Stewart officiating. Interment will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

Her family will receive friends from 4–7 p.m. on Monday, April 8, and from 11:30 a.m.–1 p.m. on Tuesday prior to the service at the funeral home.
