Jerry Lamarr Wright, 76, of Ringgold, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, May 20, 2019. He was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga & North Georgia areas, and was a member of Canaan Baptist Church in Chattanooga. He was a Navy veteran, having served during the Vietnam War, and was employed with Mohawk Industries as a supervisor for more than 11 years. He was a member of Tompkins Masonic Lodge #466 F&AM, and enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his family & friends. He was a loving and devoted brother, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, that will be truly missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd & Jeanette Wright and sister, Lois Blackwell.
Survivors include his loving wife of more than 30 years, Deborah Chastain Wright; children, Robert (Amy) Wright, Heath (Kelly) Bradley and Jessica Wright; brother & sister-in-law, Kenneth (Brenda) Wright; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family & friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 24 in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel, with Bro. Joe Gill officiating. Burial will follow in the Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park. The family will receive friends after 5 p.m. on Wednesday, all day Thursday and prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.
