Barbara Ann Painter Carter, 71, of Flintstone, passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2019.
She was born to the late Walter Lee and Lottie Lorena George Painter in Chattanooga, lived most of her life in the Flintstone Area and attended Chattanooga Valley Church of the Nazarene. Barbara was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, who will be greatly missed.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph C. Carter; brothers, Robert “Bobby” Painter and Charles “Red” Painter.
She is survived by her loving children, Shelley Frady and Randy (Rebekah) Carter; sister, Doris Jeanette Raines; grandchildren, Meagan Frady, Jesse (Taylor) Carter, Josey Carter, and John Carter; one great-grandson and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, June 24, at Grand Center Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday and after 11 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
