Marlon Wooten
Mrs. Marlon Tracine “Terry” Wooten, 60, passed away on June 20, 2019.
She was preceded in death by her father, Eddie Kirk Vinson; her daughter, Tangela Vinson; her niece, Shaviya Vinson; and her grandparents, Mose and Dimple Vinson.
She was a beloved member of the Greater Park City Baptist Church where she served several years as a devoted ministry leader over the choir and served as the church secretary.
Survivors include her husband of 36 years, Michael Wooten, Sr.; daughter, Kendra Wooten; sons, Michael Wooten, Jr. and Dauntae Vinson both of Chattanooga; mother, Amelia White Vinson; Brothers, Pastor Derek Vinson, Mose E. Vinson both of Chattanooga, TN and Timothy Brown of Leighton, AL; Sisters, Lila Vinson, Margaret (Augustus) Sturdivant, Brenda Vinson, Linda Hicks, and Debra Vinson all of Chattanooga, TN; Brothers-in-Law, Ricky Powell, Lebron Powell, and Gary Knox of Summerville, GA; Sisters-in-Law, Mary Ruth (Nathaniel) Booker of Florence, AL, Ida (Mark) Underwood, Alma Joyce Powell and Tandra Davis of Summerville, GA; 11 grandchildren, her dear friend and prayer partner, Carla Culbreath and members of Greater Park City Baptist Church; a host of god-children including Calandra Sherman, Tyroneshia Jordan, and Tyrika Vinson (great-niece); a host of other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Wooten will lie in state on Friday, June 28, after noon at the funeral home.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 29, at noon at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, 3777 Wilcox Boulevard, Chattanooga, TN 37411 with Pastor Jerry Burse as the eulogist.
Interment will be in Forest Hills Cemetery.
