Travis Pittman
Travis LaVaughn “Fish” Pittman, Sr., 47, of Chattanooga, passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2019, at his residence.
He was a 1991 graduate of Howard High School. Travis was employed by Memorial Hospital and was a member of Silver Crest Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dorsey Pittman; grandfathers, Elgin Armstrong and Eddie Pittman; grandmothers, Ruth Armstrong and Lillie Pittman; cousin, LaToya Hampton; father-in-law, David Benford; and aunt, Kathy Burtch.
Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Nakia Pittman; sons, Kentrell Pittman, Travis Pittman, Jr., Tray-Vaughn Pittman, and Zai’yah Pittman; daughters, LaVaughsia Pittman and Jacqui Pittman; three grandchildren; mother, Veronica (Michael) Watkins; brothers, Randall (Karen) Armstrong, Darrell (Kimberly) Armstrong, and Jamie Pittman, all of Chattanooga; uncles, Bobby (Ruby) Pittman of Commerce, GA, Milton Armstrong, Elgin (Myra) Armstrong, both of Chattanooga, David (Vernette) Pittman, Steve (Sandra) Pittman, both of Toccoa, GA, and Charles Pittman of Carnesville, GA; aunts, Cassandra (Elmer) Leaks, Brenda Armstrong, Ruth (Dewayne) Young, LaVerne (Grant) Earl, all of Chattanooga, Annie (Richard) Jones of Carnesville, GA, Betty Pittman of Norcross, GA, and Susan Pittman of Carnesville, GA; mother-in-law, Ivalene Benford of Chattanooga; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.
Visitation is on Friday, Sept. 27, from 5-7 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, Sept. 28, at 11 a.m. in the chapel with Pastor Jeffrey Carter as the eulogist. Entombment will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.
