Xian Campbell finished second over all to lead the Baylor boys team to a third place finish a strong field at in the Large School Division of the Southern Showcase..Campbell ran a personal best time of 16.35 on the rolling Huntsville, Alabama course.
Senior Silas Gartman’s 11th place finish earned him a spot on the medal stand. Gartman ran a 17.24 for the 5000 meter. William Ham finished 20th ( 17.55 ), while Jack Gartman, 25th ( 18.00 ), Sam MacMillian, 26th (18.01) and Alex Coley 42nd (18.18) all ran season best times.
The Randolph School of Huntsville won with 50 points. In a close finish for 2nd Vestavia Hills of Birmingham scored 78 points and Baylor, 82 points.
