Clarence Woodard
Clarence William Woodard, Jr. (Woody), 90, of Dayton, passed away Wednesday afternoon, January 8, 2020, at Rhea Medical Center.
He was born on March 19, 1929, in Kingsport, the son of the late Clarence William, Sr. and Mary (Walter) Woodard.
Clarence was also preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Beauline (Anderson) Woodard.
Woody lived in Dayton over 33 years. He served his country with the US Navy and was a Nuclear Radcon for TVA.
He is survived by his daughter, Patricia Sawyer of Plymouth, NC and his son, Gregory William Woodard of Newport News, VA; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandson.
Woody had a wonderful sense of humor and was loved by everyone he touched. He will by greatly and sorely missed.
There will be a service for Woody at a later date in North Carolina by the family. In lieu of flowers please consider any contributions to the Rhea County Sherriff’s Department
