LeRoy Hobbs
LeRoy Duncan Hobbs, 88, of Ooltewah, passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2020.
Mr. Hobbs was born in Dunlap, Tn., and raised on Signal Mountain, Tn. He was a graduate of Central High School Class of 1950 and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired from the Electric Power Board as a customer service supervisor. LeRoy was a music director for over 70 years at several churches in the area. He was also a 32nd Degree Mason of Signal Mountain Masonic Lodge and a member of Trion Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are his sons, Tim (Sandy) Hobbs and Philip (Brenda) Hobbs; grandchildren, Lauren (Zack) Rollins, Jon (Jessica) Hobbs, Tyler (Kasey) Hobbs and Jarrod (Robin) Hobbs; sisters, Libby Hobbs, Sherry Motley and Trisha (Sam) Bollinger.
He was preceded in death by his father, Chester Hobbs; mother, Claytie Motley; and sister, Polly Hobbs.
There will not be any visitation at the funeral home, however a graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 23, at Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors. Dr. William Flannagan will officiate.
