Ella Jean Shields
Ella Jean Shields, age 78, a resident of Old Fort, passed away Sunday, October 18, 2020 at the family residence.
She was the daughter of the late Russell Lee and Visha Prince and was also preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Vernon “Doc” Shields; son, Leon Shields; brother, Rev. Doyle Prince; and sister, Mary Ruth Rogers.
She was a member of the Kinser Road Church of God.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and James “Jimmy” Silvers; granddaughters, Jamie and Visha Silvers; sister-in-law, Patsy Prince; mamaws little helper, Hayden Silvers, all of Old Fort; along with several nieces and nephews.
A Remembrance of Life Service will be held graveside Wednesday, Oct. 21, at 1 p.m. at Moore’s Chapel Cemetery with Pastor Guinn Green officiating. Samuel Silvers, Steven Silvers, Sam Silvers, Jonathan Silvers, Shane Shields and Jeremy Shields will serve as casket bearers.
