Bobby Smith
Bobby Lee Smith, 82, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away on October 26, 2020, in South Pittsburg, Tn.
Bobby was born in Chattanooga to the late Ernest and Alberta Smith on June 2, 1938. He was a lifelong resident of Chattanooga. He retired from the City of Chattanooga Department of Public Works after 25 years. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and served in the U.S. Army. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and Vietnam Campaign Medal. He was a member of Union Hill Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by father, Ernest Smith; mother, Alberta Parker Smith; wife, Delores J. Smith; son, DeAngelo L. Smith; 4 brothers, June, James, Luther and Curtis Smith; two sisters, Erntine Smith, Shirley J. Campbell; granddaughter, Mary Smith.
He leaves to cherish his many memories, his children, Kappie (Dedrick) Smith, Bobby (Linda) Smith, Devoris (Darlene) Smith, Angela Keith, and Kelly Smith; niece, Kathy Smith; nephews, Charles L.C. Reynolds Jr., Leon Smith, and Curnice Smith; grandchildren, LaCorice, Adarius, LaShondria, Timothy, Tremaine, Drakeya, Jasmin, Quincey, Devoris Jr., Deliah, Tamara, Lakeydra, Briana, Shaquita, Tamika, and Amecia; 29 great grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.
Public viewing will be held from 9 a.m.–12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 31, at the funeral home followed by a graveside service at 1:30 pm. Interment will be at Lakewood Memory Gardens-East.
