Tonya Lee Cross
Tonya Lee Cross, age 46, a resident of Dayton, Tennessee, passed away Sunday morning, December 13, 2020 in a Chattanooga hospital.
Tonya was born in Chattanooga, Tn. She was a the granddaughter of the late Mary Ruth and Tom Anthony Bell and Ruby and Ernest Argene Jump. She loved being on social media and drinking Coca Cola. Most of all, she loved being a grandmother and spending time with her family. Tonya was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She attended the Church of God.
Survivors include her husband of 27 years, Kenneth "Peanut" Cross of Dayton; children, Aaron Jump and his wife Felicia, Ali Whittaker and her husband Tyler, Jeffery Cross and his wife Catilin and Shelby Gillespie and her husband Dexter all of Dayton; 11 grandbabies; parents, Meda and Gerald Jump also of Dayton; sister, Michelle Wright and her husband Mark of Decatur; brother, Tony Jump and his wife Lisa of Dayton; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted on Friday, Dec. 18, at 2 p.m. at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Chapel with Reverend Kenneth Walker officiating. Interment will follow in the Cohutta Hill Community Chapel Cemetery with Matthew Jump, Corey Jump, Tony Jump, Jacob Wright, Roger Smith, Lonnie Cross, Tyler Whittaker and Dexter Gillespie serving as casket bearers.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 17, at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Chapel who has charge of the arrangements.
