Brenda J. Swallows
Brenda J. Swallows, age 74, a resident of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away at her residence Thursday, December 17, 2020.
Her pride and joy was her family. She loved being a wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Most of her favorite times were family gatherings and functions with her church family. She was a member of Waterville Baptist Church.
Brenda was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Clyde Swallows; parents, EL and Nellie Ruth Johnson; brother, Ronnie Johnson; and granddaughter, Amanda Woods.
She is survived by her children, David Swallows (Nita), Mary Brewer, Ken “Bud” Swallows (Mary), John Swallows (Sandy), Patricia Woods (Phil), Joey Swallows (Tammy), Gordon Swallows (June); grandchildren, Sharon Guiles, Jeremy Swallows, Jason Swallows, Amy Calhoun, Josh Woods, Bethany Guffey, Laurel Walker, Megan Melton; several great-grandchildren; siblings, Shelby Gass, Virginia Pendergraph, Patricia Bell, Buddy Johnson, Sharon Hawkins, Darlene Gass and Charles Johnson; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
A Remembrance of Life Service will be held Tuesday, Dec. 22, at 11 a.m. at Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Ave. Chapel with Rev. Coby Goins and Rev. Allan Lovelace officiating. The interment will follow at Moore’s Chapel Cemetery with Jeremy Swallows, Jason Swallows, Josh Woods, Justin Calhoun, Tim Swallows and John Swallows serving as casket bearers.
The family will receive friends Monday, Dec. 21, from 5-8 p.m. at Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Ave Chapel.
