Eddie Ashley
Edward "Eddie" Ashley, 88, was born on July 8, 1931, in Chattanooga to the late Mr. Laymon Ashley Sr. and Mrs. Maybell Rhodes Ashley.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nina Ashley; parents, Laymon Ashley Sr. and Maybell Rhodes Ashley; son, Edward Ashley Jr.,; brothers, Jimmie Ashley, Charles Ashley Sr., Emmett Ashley
Sr., Laymon Ashley Jr.; sisters, Juanita Ashley, Etherlena Ashley, Aline (Sis) Ashley Livas and Roland (Pig) Ashley.
He was a very faithful member of Greater Friendship Missionary Baptist Church where he accepted Christ at a young age.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his children, Patricia (Calvin) Stoudemire, Angela Hudson, Valerie Poindexter; devoted son, Michael Ashley; devoted caretaker, Myra Jones (James Harris), Larry Taylor, and devoted caretaker, Brenda Taylor; devoted sister, Margaret Ashley; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many loyal friends.
Private services will be held.
