Cleghorn, James Dewey (LaFayette)

James Dewey Cleghorn, 90, of LaFayette, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2020. 

Dewey was a veteran of the U.S. Army and an avid golfer. 

He is survived by his loving wife, Nelle Cleghorn; daughters, Susan Oliver, Robin Ray, Lisa Green, Wyntre Gross, and Summer Cleghorn; sons, Michael Cleghorn, Joel Cleghorn, John Anderson Jr., Matthew Anderson, Mark Anderson, and Pete Anderson; and 60 grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

Funeral service will be held at 5 p.m. on Friday, June 5, in the Wilbanks Memorial Chapel with James Helton and Pete Anderson II officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service after 3 p.m. 

Interment will be at LaFayette City Cemetery. 

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
