Rosalynne Darlene Taylor, 65, of Ooltewah, passed away on Monday, July 13, 2020, at her home.

Darlene was born on May 17, 1955, in Chattanooga. She was a graduate of Lakeview High School and was retired from the state of Tennessee. Her hobbies included cooking, sewing, and shopping, but most of all she enjoyed time with her family. She loved to cook and host gatherings to celebrate holidays and birthdays of the people she loved. She was generous and thoughtful and never tired of finding ways to show people she cared for them. She loved to laugh and tell stories, and everyone around her loved her for both.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard Edwin Cabe and Barbara Boles Cabe, both of Chattanooga.

Darlene is survived by her husband of 45 years, Gerald R. Taylor; son, Gerry (Angela); daughter, Leslie (Keith Perry); sisters, Cathy (Kevin) Lewis and Angie Holley; grandchildren, Andrew (Rebecca) Gonzalez, Colin, Conor, Ella, and Elijah Taylor; and great-grandchild, Luke Gonzalez.

A private burial will take place at the Chattanooga National Cemetery, and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
