Randall Tipton
Randall Tipton, age 83, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away Saturday, January 2, 2021, at his residence.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Stella Tipton; two sisters, Hazel Herpka and Haven Violet; brother, Bill Tipton; first wife, Jimmie Flood; and granddaughter, Mandy Whitmire.
He is survived by his wife, Clara Tipton of the residence; two daughters and son-in-law, Gena and Gene Barrett of Dalton and Angie Staten of Cleveland, TN; two sons and daughter-in-law, Randall A. Tipton of Cohutta and Roger and Sandra Whitmire of Tunnel Hill; two sisters and brother-in-law, Clarice and Harold Addington of Cohutta and Annie Pearl Addington of Dalton; two brothers and sisters-in-law, J.L. and Pat Tipton and Bobby and Nikki Tipton, all of Blue Ridge; grandchildren, Adam, Matthew, Jamie, Airica, Nikki, Brittney, Kala, Kara, Halley and Josh; great-grandchildren, David, Kinsley, Lucas, Conner, Sydni, Layla, Josh, Brecklyn, Tinley, Paisley and Addey; and one great-great-grandchild, Lawson.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 5, at 12:30 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Brother Tyler Gilreath and Brother Rickey Hicks officiating.
The family will receive friends at funeral home on Monday, from 4-8 p.m.
Burial will be in Whitfield Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Matthew Tipton, Adam Staten, Gene Barrett, Jamie Barrett, Josh Whitmire and Greg Addington.
