Melody Adams Romita, 70, of Hixson, Tennessee, went home to heaven to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, October 14, 2021. 


Melody was a lifelong resident of Chattanooga. She was a lifelong follower of Jesus Christ. She was a teacher for Hamilton County Schools for 38 years. She loved her family beyond measure.

 

Left behind are her only daughter, Kyleigh A. Kuschel; son-in-law, Christopher Eaker, grandsons, Anthony and Michael Eaker; her beloved sister, Kem Adams, who was her caretaker and best friend, and brother, Stephen Adams Jr.; nieces, Alli Card and Katie Haynes (Chase Haynes), Jessica and Kristin Pillman; nephews, Stephen Nechy and Joseph Martin, and Nicholas Logan; great-nephews, Neylan and Kyler, Easton and Judah.

 

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband,Tony Romita; father, Stephen Adams; sister, Brigette Adams and many more, which is probably the most joyous part of this transition.

 

She was of the Baptist faith and a life time member of Lake Drive Baptist Church.

 

The family will have a visitation for friends and family on Thursday, Oct. 21, from 4-6 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Home.
