Dan Norris Triplett (TSgt), 88, of the Oak Grove Community, departed this life on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, with his loving family at his side.
He was born on July 22, 1933, in Benton, to the late John Henry Triplett and Pearl Hinton Keith. Mr. Triplett faithfully served our country for 20 years with the United States Air Force. After serving our country with the USAF, Dan came home and was a faithful employee and later retired from the United States Postal Service, after 20 years of service.
In addition to his parents, John H. and Pearl Keith Triplett, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Kenneth E. Triplett, Curtis R. Triplett, John T. Triplett, Eva M. Franks and Bubbles C. Triplett Newman.
Left to cherish the many memories include his beloved wife, Eva Lee Atkins Triplett; five sons, Anthony (Kathy) Triplett, Dan (Anita) Triplett, Christopher Triplett, Gregory (Robin) Triplett and Kevin Triplett; grandchildren, James Triplett, Justin Triplett, Rebecca Triplett, Catherine (Johnny) Moore, Dan (Jordan) Triplett, CJ Triplett, Courtney Triplett and Taylor Kate Triplett; and siblings, Gena Sampson and Gloria Norman. Several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends also survive.
A Celebration of Life graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 7 at Old Ocoee Cemetery with USAF Military Honors.
Family and friends will gather from noon-1 p.m. on Tuesday, prior to the service at Higgins Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Amvets Tennessee, 617 Napoleon Ave., Nashville, Tn. 37211.
