Lillie Ruth Hudgins Sneed
Lillie Ruth Hudgins Sneed, age 76, of Chickamauga, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, March 3, 2021.
She was born July 6, 1944 in Menlo, Ga. to the late Allen and Allie Knowles Hudgins. She attended the Chattooga County School System and was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church.
She is preceded by her husband, Henry Sneed; parents; stepmother, Sarah Hudgins; son, John William Sneed; grandchild, Alliesse Hope Whatley; sisters, Darnell Bobbie Prater, Ann Stewart, and Elaine and Janice Hudgins and brothers, Louie, Richard, and Atlas Hudgins.
She is survived by her loving family, daughters, Hiwatha (Terry) Haywood and Ocellia Whatley (Brandon) Raulston; sons, Pladys (Robin) Sneed and Monza Sneed; grandchildren, Isaiah, Canaan, and Ariana Whatley, Bradley Sneed, Daniel and Desarea Younce, Brandon and Leanna Sneed, and Ayden Hudgins; great-grandchildren, Trinity, Buddy, Leland, and Payton; a special thank you to Dr. Michael Wilson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Following the guidelines of COVID-19, the family is enforcing that all attendees wear a mask and practice social distancing.
Homegoing service will be Sunday, March 7, at 11 a.m. at Harvest Missionary Baptist Church, 301 Williams St, Rossville, GA 30741, with Pastor K. Solomon Killiebrew, Jr.
Family will receive friends Saturday, March 6, from 12-6 p.m. at the funeral home.
Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery.
