James Lawrence Doyle
James Lawrence Doyle, “aka” Grandad, 78, of Tunnel Hill, passed away Sunday, April 18, 2021 at his residence.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Edward and Grace Elizabeth Dugan Doyle.
Jim was a member of Tunnel Hill Methodist Church and an on-line follower of Abbas House in Hixon, Tn.
He is survived by his loving wife, Margaret Rogers (Spark) Doyle of the residence; daughter and son-in-law, Katherine (Katie) and Joey Taylor of Tunnel Hill; sister, Patricia Shadden of Austin, TX; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dana C. and Cindy Rogers of Tunnel Hill; grandchild, Joseph A. Taylor of Lynchburg, VA; and aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews also survive. Jim is also survived by his loyal dog, Gus.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, April 21, in the Rocky Face chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Dr. Jake Carroll officiating.
Burial will be in Gordy Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 21, from noon to 3 p.m.
