Russell Dailey

Russell “Rusty” Scott Dailey, 45, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, made his entry into eternal life on Monday, April 19, 2021 after a short battle with brain cancer.

He was born March 15, 1976 to Sabel Hooper and Ronnie Dailey.  Rusty had different interests over the years such as action figures, comic books and NASCAR, but the greatest of all was WWE wrestling, gospel music, Little Debbie cakes and Pepsi.

He was a sweet, wonderful boy who faced many mental and physical struggles through life, but never really complained.  Rusty was loved by all who knew him and words can’t explain the emptiness left behind.

Rusty was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Carlous D.O. Couch; paternal grandparents, Clarence and Dean Dailey; and step grandparents, David and Celestine Hooper.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his mother and step father, Sabel and Dale Hooper; father, Ronnie Dailey; maternal grandmother, Eunice “Granny” Couch; step brother, Keith Hooper; step sister, Natalie (Cory) Holder; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A celebration of his life will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 22, at Candies Creek Baptist Church with Pastor Jonathan Kile and Pastor Stan Gibson officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Cory Holder, Keith Hooper, Levi Couch, Dillon Simpson, Scott Hall and Lucas Hall serving as pallbearers.

His family will receive friends from 12-2 p.m. at the church prior to the service.

Rusty’s family would like to extend a special thank you to Hearth Hospice for his care.

The family requests that memorials be made to their passion: Candies Creek Baptist Church Shoe Box Ministry, 294 Eureka Road NW, Charleston TN 37310.

We invite you to send a message of condolence and view the Dailey/Hooper family guestbook at www.fikefh.com.

Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
