Jane Stafford Summey
Jane Stafford Summey, age 74, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Thursday, May 13, 2021 at her home.
Jane was born June 19, 1946 in Cartersville, Ga., a daughter of the late Oran James and Bernice Murphy Stafford. She was also preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Reverend Francis and Louise Summey; her brothers, Eugene Stafford and Jimmy Stafford; sister, Peggy Marcin; her brothers-in-law, Steve Abernathy and Ricky Summey.
She was a devoted Christian and accepted Jesus Christ as her savior at an early age. Her family was the center of her life.
She is survived by husband, Ron Summey of the residence, and would have celebrated their fifty-ninth wedding anniversary on Nov. 19, 2021; sons and daughter-in-law, Dr. Kenneth R. and Carla Summey, Jr. of Murfreesboro, TN, and Kevin Summey of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Hannah Grace Summey and Naomi Hope Summey both of Murfreesboro, TN; brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Mary Stafford of Dalton, GA; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Roger Marcin of Dalton, GA, Marion and Ann Summey of Adairsville, GA, Reverend Donnie and Pat Summey, Reverend David and Kaye Summey and Cathy “Sis” Abernathy all of Cartersville, GA; special aunts, Bonnie Murphy and family of Cartersville, GA, and Minnie Lee Nicholson of Ellijay, GA, sister-in-law, Barbara Summey of Cartersville, GA; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Jane Stafford Summey will be held Tuesday, June 1, at 4 p.m. at the Atco Baptist Church, (20 Parmenter St., Cartersville, GA, 30120) with Reverend Donnie Summey, Reverend David Summey and her son, Dr. Kenneth Summey officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Laccassas Baptist Church, 4750 E. Jefferson Pike, Lascassas, TN, 37085 or to your favorite charity.
