With his family at his bedside, the Lord took the hand of Douglas “Doug” Clayton Peacock to lead him to his heavenly home on Sunday, May 16, 2021.   

Doug was born on Sept. 19, 1964, to his father, late Lonnie Clayton Peacock and mother, Fannie Katherine Oliver Peacock. He was a resident of Winchester where he lived with his wife, Kathy Sayler Peacock. Doug was of the Baptist faith and a member of Baptist Hill Church in Jasper, Tn. 

Doug worshiped the Lord, cherished his family, his two fur babies Sable and Josie along with many devoted friends. In Doug’s past time, he enjoyed performing karaoke, hunting, and working and teaching in EMS as an EMT, then progressing to Paramedic beginning in 2003.  He instilled a love of the EMS profession into every student he instructed and mentored long after they left class. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Lonnie Clayton Peacock.

Doug leaves his fondest memories to his wife, Kathy Sayler Peacock, mother, Fannie Katherine Oliver Peacock; daughter, Amber (Tyler) Peacock; brother, Randy (Cathy) Peacock, several nieces, nephews and dear friends.

The family will have visitation on Tuesday, May 18, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. CT and Wednesday, May 19, from 1-3 p.m. at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, Tn.

The funeral service will be held in the chapel of Tate Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 19, at 3 p.m. CT with Pastor Roger Webb and Pastor Curt Aukerman officiating.

Doug will be laid to rest following the funeral service at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper, Tn.  Pallbearers will be Randy Peacock, Keith Miller, Robert Alder, Kevin Sayger, Mike Nelson and Jason Nugent.

Masks and social distancing are still being enforced while inside Tate Funeral Home.
