While no brave politician has ever stated or predicted the cost of the COVID pandemic vaccines or the stimulus packages to address the adverse effects on business, education and unemployment, eventually the above term may produce some eye-opening reality to the American taxpayer.

During the 9th Century in Northern Ireland the British introduced a harsh poll tax of one ounce of gold per year on all Irish households.

The cruel tax was nicknamed the “Nose Tax” because if a person didn’t or couldn’t pay, they had their nose slit.

This effective procedure gave rise to the expression “paying through the nose” meaning if overdue payments weren’t made dire consequences would occur.

Beware diligent taxpayers, Congress has contemplated or passed other bizarre legislation!
