Willie Rea McMillon’s love of life didn’t come to an end with her death. Willie passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2021 at the age of 95, surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest.

Willie retired from Dixie Yarns in Lupton City, Tn. after 50 years of service.  She attended Lake Hills Church of Christ.  The simplest pleasures in life brought great happiness to her as she enjoyed cooking, quilting, gifting to friends as well family gatherings.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton McMillon; loving parents, Mack Burger and Estelle Burger; siblings, Lillie Mae Johnson, Hendrix Burger, Nora Lee Houston, and Glen Burger.

Left behind to cherish her memories are her daughter, Carol (Doug) Davis;  a brother, Darrell Burger; grandchildren, Jill Cordell, Jason (Dianna) Cordell, and Jonathan Cordell; and great-grandchild, Katie (David) Kleibert.

We respectfully request that social distancing, wearing masks, and all CDC measures be followed at the funeral home and cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, Sept. 23, from 10 a.m.–12 p.m. with the funeral service beginning at 12:00 p.m. in the North Chapel.

Interment will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

Services will be officiated by Minister Paul Stidham, with eulogies by her nephews, Nelson Burger and Randy Houston. 

The family would like to give special thanks to Hearth Hospice Services and Brookdale Assisted Living. 

In lieu of flowers, family request donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital atwww.stjude.org.

Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, Tn. 37343.
