CDOT Announces Upcoming Special Event Road Closures

The Chattanooga Division Department of Transportation announces the following special event road closures:

Tuesday, Sept. 21

IRONMAN Chattanooga (Set-Up) 
 
Riverfront Parkway between Molly Lane and Aquarium Way will be closed to through traffic beginning Tuesday, Sept. 21 through Monday, Sept. 27 for the IRONMAN set-up and take-down. Semi-trucks will not be permitted after MLK Blvd eastbound due to limited turning abilities within the closure. Detours will be posted.
Additional details for the traffic impacts on Sunday, Sept. 26 will be released later this week.

Thursday, Sept. 23

Station Street LIVE - Station Street

Station Street between Market Street and Rossville Avenue will be closed on Thursday, Sept. 23 from 4-9:30 p.m. for Station Street LIVE. This is a recurring event and is scheduled to take place on Sept. 23, 30, and Oct. 7.

Saturday, Sept. 25

Sports & Support - Meet The Competition 
 
E. 36th Street between 13th Avenue and 14th Avenue will be closed Saturday, Sept. 25 from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. for the Hunter Memorial Mural's block party 'Sports & Support - Meet The Competition'. Detours will be posted.

Sunday, Sept. 26

IRONMAN Chattanooga Competition Day 
 
A traffic impact report for the upcoming IRONMAN Chattanooga competition day will be released later this week in a separate detailed press release.

Chattanooga Market - Reggie White Boulevard

Reggie White Boulevard will be closed in front of the First Horizon Pavilion for the Chattanooga Market on Sunday, Sept. 26 from 6 a.m. until 7 p.m. for the weekly Chattanooga Market. This week's theme is the Busker's Festival.
