Dorothy “Grace” Kirby Nuckolls
Dorothy “Grace” Kirby Nuckolls, 93, died Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at her home in Dalton, Georgia.
She was born on Oct. 8, 1928 in Nashville, Tn. She was a retired educator who taught 31 years in both the Whitfield County and Dalton Public Schools Systems. She was a member and Sunday School teacher at Grove Level Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Nuckolls, and her parents, Frank and Mary Kirby.
Grace is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Dr. Frank and Joy Nuckolls of Newnan, GA. and Alan and Cheryl Nuckolls of Rocky Face, GA. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Andrew Nuckolls of Rocky Face and David and Anna Nuckolls of Newnan; her great-grandchildren, Henley Nuckolls and Adalynn Grace Nuckolls; and sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Rev. Ted Page of Statesboro, GA. Special thanks to her wonderful caregivers, Cindy Cartledge and Sandra Gibson.
Funeral services will be Saturday, Jan. 29, at 11 a.m. at the Rocky Face Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Charlie Bridges and Rev. Dan Rice officiating.
Burial will follow in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the Rocky Face Funeral Home on Friday from 6-8 p.m.
