On December 5, 2022, Wanda Jean Buchanan Hilley left this world for her heavenly home at the age of 81. Wanda loved her home and her family above all else; no one ever left her home hungry. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and lover of life. She and the love of her life, Talvis Fran Hilley, were married for 62 years, most of which were spent in Trenton.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Thursday, Dec. 8 at Moore Funeral Home in Trenton. Burial will follow at Lake Hills Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, Dec. 7 from 4-7 p.m. and on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the service hour.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ephriam Shadrack and Ida Carroll Buchanan; and siblings, Lester Buchanan, Chester Buchanan, E.S. Buchanan Jr, Ruth Schrader, Jewell Heiser and Ida Cooper.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Talvis Fran Hilley; children, Talvis Wayne (Doris Durham) Hilley and Angela Hilley (Ernest Younce); sisters, Deloris Smyth and Virginia Joiner; granddaughter, Hannah Elizabeth Hilley (William McBee); and several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
