Red Bank Commissioners To Recognize Citizen’s Act Of Honesty

  • Friday, May 13, 2022

When Steven Sabacky attended the Red Bank Jubilee last Saturday, little did he know that his good deed would become a symbol of all the decent and honest people in his community.

As Mr. Sabacky was leaving the festival, he noticed an envelope on the ground.   He picked up the envelope, and to his amazement, discovered it contained over $600 in cash. Mr. Sabacky quickly found a Red Bank officer and turned the envelope - with the money - over to him.  The officer found a receipt in the envelope and was able to return the money to its rightful owner – a vendor who had been participating in the Jubilee that day.

The Red Bank Commissioners heard about Mr. Sabacky’s actions and believe his act of honesty is worthy of recognition.  They have invited him to join them at their next commission meeting on Tuesday to thank him in person for his good deed and reminding us that there are still good and honest people in our communities.
