Don Corum Tucker
Don Corum Tucker, 86, of Chattanooga died on Tuesday, June 28, 2022.
He was born on May 16, 1936, in Dyersburg, Tn., to the late Lt Col. Bydie Tucker and Ida Elizabeth Corum Tucker.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Ann Tucker, and his mother and father-in-law, George and Georgia Ramey.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Linda Dianne Tucker, son, Gary (Kimberly) Tucker, grandchildren, Caleb, Bailey, and Jackson, sister, Tommie Saxon, half sister, Bebe Tucker, and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Tucker loved his grandchildren, and the Vols. He was an avid golfer and one of the founders of the Tiftonia Golf Association (TGA). He was a former member of St. Martin’s Episcopal Church. He was a U.S. Army Korean war veteran.
He never met a stranger. He was retired from Liberty Mutual, where he was a top producer, million-dollar round table and many other awards. Liberty Mutual transferred him to Chattanooga from Memphis in the 1960s to start its Personal Sales program.
Memorial services will be held at noon on Saturday, July 2, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Father Tom Law officiating.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. on Saturday.
