Jeanette Brown, 78, of Cleveland, departed this life on Wednesday morning, June 29, 2022 at Tennova Healthcare. Born in Polk County on Sept. 9, 1943 to the late Arthur and Stella Gatlin, she was a longtime resident of Bradley County and a member of Prospect Church of God. She was a Godly woman that always asked for prayer at every church service for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. God was always first in her life, but her husband and family were her life.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Billy M. Brown, Jr; and her brothers, William, Carl and Charles Gatlin.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 62 years, Billy Mac Brown, Sr.; son, Marc A. Brown (Becky); daughters, Terri L. Erwin-Wilson(Mike) and Gail Martin( Michael Smith); grandchildren, Becky Brown, Billy Mac Brown, III, Dustin Lankford, Jacob Martin, Joshua Martin, Dylan Brown, Jessica Smith (Adam) and Mason Brown (Melea); nine great-grandchildren; siblings, Junie Walker, Linda Wooten, Glenda Seaborn, Brenda Carter (Layne), Ronnie Gatlin, A.L. Gatlin, Arthur Gatlin(Donna) and Ricky Gatlin (Sheila); as well as several extended family members and a host of friends and church family.
A Celebration of Life and Homegoing for Jeanette Gatlin Brown will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 3 from the Prospect Church of God, with Pastor Timothy Gann officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until the funeral hour at the church on Sunday.
