Brian Singleton
Brian Haywood Singleton, 52, of Chattanooga, passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2022.
Brian was born on Aug. 3, 1969, in Fort Bragg, N.C.., to Haywood and the late Carrie Mae Singleton. Brian graduated from Ol’ Perry Walker High School, where he played football and graduated in 1987 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Soon after high school, he returned to Chattanooga and was employed at Georgia Pacific. Brian was a member of Greater Second Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Steve Caudle. Brian loved his family, especially his nieces and nephews. He also enjoyed sports, music, and working out.
Brian was preceded in death by his mother, Carrie Mae Singleton; grandparents, Ben Lee, Annie Mae Timmons; and William (Bertha) Singleton; aunt, Barbra Glass; and cousin, Elgenard Singleton.
Survivors include his father, Haywood Singleton; and siblings, Alan Ray Well of Dalton, GA, Vincent (Crystal) Nelson of Watertown, NY, Leshina (Dwayne) Spearman of Atlanta, GA and Nakia Singleton of Chattanooga; uncles, Ben (Wanda) Timmons of Lithia Springs, GA, Charles and Anthony Timmons both of Chattanooga; aunts, Mamie Green, Pauline Ford, Leona Adams, and Patricia Timmons all of Chattanooga; and Wanda Ann (Charles) Banks of Roswell, GA; special cousin, Carla Singleton; special niece, Zenobia (Zoey) Crawford along with a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
Brian will lie in state on Monday, July 11, at 9 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.
Graveside servicea will follow at 2 p.m. in Forest Hills Cemetery with Pastor Steve Caudle giving words of comfort.
