Buddy M. Ellis
Buddy M. Ellis, age 77, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away Saturday, July 16, 2022 at Hamilton Medical Center.
He is preceded in death by his Father, Martin Ellis and Mother, Addaree Mullinax and two brothers; Mitchell and Michael Ellis.
Buddy was a devoted family man as well as an avid golfer. He attended the University of Georgia and later graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He served the Dalton area for 50 years as a Certified Public Accountant.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Juanita Ellis of Dalton; daughter, Tammy Ellis Shaw of Clarkesville, Georgia; son and daughter-in-law, Gregg and Sandie Ellis of Calhoun; sister, Angela Mullinax James of Dalton; grandchildren, Virginia Lee Shaw, McCamy Grace Ellis and Thomas Tripp Shaw, Jr. and wife Erin; and great-grandchild, Edie Shaw. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Mr. Ellis will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, July 20, at Rock Bridge Community Church, Dalton Campus Stage 123 with Rev. Matt Evans officiating.
The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday from 1 p.m. until the service hour at 3 p.m.
Mr. Ellis will be laid to rest at West Hill Cemetery.
