Glennyce June Hunt Ball
Glennyce June Hunt Ball, 91, went home to Jesus on Sunday, January 29, 2023.
She was preceded in death by her husband, A.C. “Bud” Ball, mother, Marie Lamb Hunt, father, Glenn Arthur Hunt, and her daughter-in-law, Susie Ball.
She graduated in 1952 from Erlanger’s Nursing program (RN). She was a devoted mother, serving as scout leader and active in the PTA as her sons were growing up. Later she worked at East Ridge Hospital and returned to college to obtain her degree in Hospital Administration. She was overjoyed
upon becoming a grandmother and loved being with family. She was a long-term member of Brainerd Presbyterian Church and active in her Sunday School class.
Survivors include her sons, Scott Ball (Glendia) of Cleveland, Phil Ball (Kim) of Ooltewah, grandson, Josh Ball of New York City, granddaughter, Casey Burrell (Cory Praino) of Dayton and great-granddaughters Lily, Zoey, and Coral; her nephew Steve Wolfe (Linda) of Ooltewah who was “like a son” to her, and several other nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 3, with a service immediately following at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be conducted at 10 a.m., Saturday, February 4th, at the Ooltewah Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Brainerd Presbyterian Church, 1624 Jenkins Road, Chattanooga, Tn. 37421.
