Ester Imogene Jones Taylor, age 88, a resident of Ten Mile, TN, formerly of Lady Lake, FL., passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2023.
She was born December 15, 1934 to the late Fred and Eula Jones.
Gean enjoyed in her spare time sewing, art, and golfing.
She is preceeded in death by her parents; brothers: Nelson Jones, Herman Jones; sisters: Marlene Jones, Martha Rose Lott, Millie Smith; Father of her children: Hudson Brown; Granddaughter: Kimberly Coleman
She is survived by her husband of 23 years: Howard Taylor; children: Phillip (Dona) Brown, Rita (Jack) Hearon, Pamela (Terry) Stansbury; siblings: Clifton (Dorothy) Jones, O'Harrell Jones, Vinola Brady; grandchildren: Bradley (Olivia) Brown, Christi Higueros, Brian Miller, Jason Stansbury, Jesse (Maranda) Stansbury, Faith (Arnie) Parker, Greg Hearon; great-grandchildren: Caleb Coleman, Mercedes Tweed, Tyler Ogle, Jacob Hearon, Kaitlyn Miller, Hannah Miller, Leah Miller, Abby Miller, Ethan Miller, Ella Sue Jean Stansbury, Hudson Brown, Haleigh Higueros, Lily Higueros, Alicia Higueros, Max Hudson Higueros, Pali Parker; great-great grandchildren: Laken Ogle, Kohen Ogle.
A funeral service will be held Monday, Dec. 11 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Decatur Funeral Home & Cremation Services with the Rev. Joe Andrews and speaker Jack Hearon officiating. Interment will follow in the Pisgah Cemetery with Jesse Stansbury, Brad Brown, Brian Miller, Caleb Coleman, Jacob Hearon, and Tyler Ogle serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Stansbury and Greg Hearon
Family will receive friends from 12 to 2 p.m. prior to the service.
