Mimi Tin To Be Guest Speaker At Scenic City Women's Network Luncheon On May 25

  • Monday, May 8, 2023
Scenic City Women’s Network announced Mimi Tin, designer, inventor and entrepreneur, will be the guest speaker for the May Marketplace Luncheon on May 25 at Mountain City Club, 729 Chestnut St. A delicious plated menu and dessert will be served.

Ms. Tin is a designer, inventor and entrepreneur who has been creating since the first day she picked up a pencil and a pair of scissors. From the earliest age, she was no stranger to pushing the design limits to realize her visions.

Born in Burma during the rule of a military dictator, Ms.
Tin immigrated to the U.S. with her family in search of freedom, and found the freedom to use her imagination. As she watched her parents' struggles and their faith never waiver, she learned from an early age that “With God, all things are possible.”

Ms. Tin received a Fine Arts Scholarship to Carson-Newman University, and she went on to pursue a Graduate degree in Environmental Graphic Design at Miami Ad School.

As a graphic designer, she has worked in all areas from Brand Identity creation to implementation. Her client roster is extensive and has included work with Coca-Cola, Delta Airlines, Samsung, Sony, and Olympic Games across three continents.

In 2021, Ms. Tin was the recipient of the Triumph Award for her contributions to the creative industry. She was also named “Young Designer on a Roll” by The New York Times.
