Batts. Albert Holmes

Rev. Albert Holmes Batts, 97, died Sunday, June 24, 2001, in a local hospital. He was a retired Church of God minister.
Mr. Batts was a former pastor and current member of North Chattanooga Church of God.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lois Little Batts; son, Billy H. Batts; and daughters, Tommie Batts Carllson and Barbara Batts Bennett.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Elizabeth Bradshaw Batts; daughter, Patty Jean Meyer of New Hampshire; and stepchildren, Jo Ann Kimsey of East Ridge, Bonnie Riggs of Dayton, Pam Porter of Hixson, Gail Bradshaw of Dayton and Gene Bradshaw of Dayton; 22 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, June 28, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, with Bishop Lamar Vest, Bishop Walter Atkinson and the Rev. Julian Robinson officiating.
The interment will follow the service in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.
