Carolyn Dolores “Tootsie” Kuritz
Carolyn Dolores “Tootsie” Kuritz, 76, of LaFayette, passed away on Monday, April 29, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones.
Tootsie was the second youngest of six children born to the late Robert and Della Hilburn. Tootsie was a well-known hairstylist for over 50 years.
She was preceded in death her husband, Drew Kuritz; brother, Ross Lee Hilburn; sister, Lillie Mae (John) Smith; brother in law, Arville Drennan; son-in-law, Sammy Ramker; best friends, Judy Lemons and Linda Ervin.
Survivors include her sisters, Betty (Dennis) Trapp, Ellen (Don) Richie, and Elsie Drennan; daughters, Amy (John) Gunnoe, Tracy Morris and Kristy (Paul) White; forever son in law, John Billingsley; granddaughters, Taylor (Cody) Cole, Savannah (Chase) Holland and Lauren (Cameron) Arnold; grandsons, Alex Franklin, Robert Crane, Devin Gunnoe and Tyler (Baylie) Suddeth; great grandchildren, Carson Cole and Bentley, Bradey, Briella and Brinley Suddeth; close family friends, Jan Underdown, Stacy Smith, Greg Phillips; special friend, John Ashley.
Funeral services will be at 12 p.m. on Thursday, May 2, in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Jerry Lewis officiating. Interment will be at Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.
