Bill and Linda Hullander announce the summer line up for the monthly Red Back Hymnal Singings at the Hullander farm in Apison.

Les Butler and the Old Time Preachers Quartet, formed in 2015, will sing at the Sunday event.

“Those attending will appreciate the quartet’s four part harmony singing songs right out of the Red Back Hymnal,” said Mr. Hullander.

Mr. Butler who has been involved in Southern Gospel Music as a promoter, radio announcer and Salem Radio executive for over 40 years. He started on the radio in the Chicago area in 1978 and has been on the air since playing traditional Southern Gospel Music.

Mallory Ledford and the Ledford family from Cleveland return June 16. Ms. Ledford started singing when she was 8 years old and now sings with her family. Young Mallory has sung at many Tennessee, Georgia and Alabama Churches; the annual National Quartet Convention and First Baptist Church in Atlanta where Dr. Charles Stanley was pastor.

McCray Dove of the original Dove Brothers Quartet will sing July 21. The Dove Brothers are known for singing convention songs in the style of the legendary Statesmen Qt. The Dove Brothers “I Can Pray” was number one in 2007.

In August, The Singing Echols from Cleveland will be featured at the monthly Red Back Hymnal Singing. The popular group has been traveling all across the country singing Gospel Music for 55 years.

The singings start at 6 p.m. and are free but a love offering will be taken.

The Hullander farm is on London Lane, less than three miles off E. Brainerd Road.
