Tennessee American Water Accepting Applications For 2025 Firefighting Support Grant Program

To show its continued commitment to community fire departments and local emergency management services, Tennessee American Water announced today it is accepting applications for its 2025 Firefighting Support Grant Program.

“Through our Firefighting Support Grant Program, Tennessee American Water proudly supports the courageous men and women who risk their lives to protect our communities,” said president of Tennessee American Water Grant Evitts. "This grant program is just one way we honor their commitment to helping keep us all safe."

The Firefighting Support Grant program provides financial assistance to uniformed, professional and volunteer fire departments in Tennessee American Water’s service territories. Applicants can easily apply directly on the Company’s website, tennesseeamwater.com. Grants of up to $1000 will be awarded to cover costs for equipment or training.

Last year, the company awarded 22 grants to uniformed, professional and volunteer fire departments in Hamilton, Marion and Sequatchie counties in Tennessee and parts of northwest Georgia.

Grant applications are available at https://www.amwater.com/tnaw/News-Community/firefighter-grant-program. The deadline for submitting applications is Monday, August 17th and recipients will be notified in September.
