Reckless Driver Taken To Jail - And Other East Ridge Police Calls

25-009134 – Interstate 75, MM 1.00 – Assist Other Agency
East Ridge Police assisted a Ringgold Police Officer with a traffic stop. The Ringgold Officer observed a Honda Fit traveling over 100 miles per hour on I-75 Northbound in Georgia. The officer initiated a traffic stop with the suspect vehicle coming to a final stop in East Ridge. The driver was taken into custody and transported to Hamilton County Jail as he had several warrants through
Catoosa County to include a charge of Reckless Driving. Ringgold case number RP25080093.

Day Shift August 27: A Squad

25-009114 – 1300 BLK Spring Creek Road – Check Well Being –
A woman contacted Police advising her daughter was late returning home and was showing to be at this location. Officers found the subject sleeping in her car, and she advised she was too tired to drive home so she pulled off the roadway to rest.

25-009124 - 2400 E 23rd Street - Missing Person LPR / Traffic Stop
ERPD initiated a traffic stop after a white Dodge cargo van hit several LPR cameras. The driver was in fact not missing but had gone through a break-up and ceased talking to his ex-partner. NCIC was unable to reach the reporting party to confirm missing person status. The man was advised to contact the reporting party to discuss his status.

25-009118 – 3600 BLK Wimberly Lane - Civil Matter
The caller reported that he had recently acquired a residence and had issued a 24-hour notice to vacate to the individuals currently staying at the property. He was informed that, to proceed with the eviction, he would need to initiate the legal process by filing the appropriate paperwork at the Hamilton County Courthouse.

Night Shift August 27: C Squad

25-009126 – 1500 BLK Merrill Street – Disorder/ Arrest
Police responded to the report of a large built male banging on the exterior doors of an occupied home. At the scene, Police Officers located the man who claimed his mailbox in Georgia was ran over by a resident of the home. The caller was inside the residence and stated that the man began loudly pounding on their doors for no apparent reason. Police observed significant damage to one of the doors and determined the party was responsible. In addition, the vehicle that destroyed the mailbox was not located. The suspect was given a misdemeanor citation for vandalism and directed to stay away from the residence.

25-009127 – 601 Justice Way – Warrant Service
While in custody at the Hamilton County Jail, a man was served with a Petition to Revoke warrant through the City of East Ridge. The original charge for the arrest warrant was Felony Evading.

25-009131 – 400 South Germantown Road – Motor Vehicle Crash
Police responded to a crash with unknown injuries near the intersection of Ringgold Road and South Germantown Road. Officers determined there were no injuries and only minor vehicle damage. A crash report was completed for the incident.

25-009133 – 601 Justice Way – Warrant Service
While in custody at the Hamilton County Jail, a man was served with a Forfeiture Capias warrant through the City of East Ridge. The original charge for the arrest warrant was Driving on a Revoked License.

25-009136 – 300 BLK Camp Jordan Parkway – Mentally Disturbed
Police officers observed a suspicious female in a Camp Jordan parking lot. While speaking with officers, the female could not stay on topic and spoke of angels, demons and the benefits of THC. A CIT Officer spoke with the female, then transported her to a local hospital for a mental health evaluation.

25-009138 – 601 Justice Way – Warrant Service
While in custody at the Hamilton County Jail, a man was served with two arrest warrants through the City of East Ridge. The charges on the warrants were Possession of Marijuana for Resale and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
