The Chattanooga women’s soccer team, off to a 3-1 start, heads up the road to take on Austin Peay Thursday night in Clarksville.

In Clarksville, the Govs lead the series 7-2.
Austin Peay came away with a 1-0 win, scoring the game winner in the 58th minute. Chattanooga outshot the Govs 14-11 and Caroline Ekern snared seven saves. Despite multiple opportunities to score, the Mocs couldn’t get past the Govs defense. Paige Thomas led with four shots followed by Caroline Richvalsky and Sophia Mize notching three apiece.
The Mocs are off to a 3-1 start with two shutouts and lead the SoCon with 11 goals.
Paige Thomas was named the SoCon Offensive Player of the Week [8/19-25] with three goals, one game winner. Caroline Richvalsky has two goals and two assists on the year. Caroline Ekern tallied two shutouts this season and is tied for the program lead. Caroline Ekern was named the SoCon Defensive Player of the Week [8/12-18]
The Govs lost its first three matches before tying UT Martin 0-0 in their last outing. All four games have been on the road. This will be Austin Peay’s home opener. The Govs have yet to find the net this season. Kasidy Schenk leads the team with six shots, four on goal. Lauryn Berry has started all four matches for the Govs and has a 2.67 GAA and a .688 saves percentage.
