The next CBMC Chattanooga Outreach Luncheon will be Wednesday, Aug. 6 from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Chattanooga Convention Center. The guest speaker will be David Fowler, former Tennessee state senator and founder of The Family Action Council of Tennessee.
Mr. Fowler is a 1980 graduate of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, and 1983 graduate of the University of Cincinnati College of Law. Upon graduation from law school, Mr. Fowler served as law clerk to the Honorable Harry J. Klusmeier, Ohio Court of Appeals for the First District.
Mr.
Fowler practiced law in Cincinnati and later in Chattanooga until 2006. However, in 1994, Mr. Fowler ran for and was elected to the Tennessee Senate. In addition to his law practice, he served in the senate until 2006. That year Mr. Fowler worked with individuals in Tennessee to establish what is now known as The Family Action Council of Tennessee, Inc. and its sister organization, Alliance for Law and Liberty.
He is now the host of the podcast God, Law & Liberty and the author of three books: The Politics of Loving God—Courageous Truths for Contentious Times; Recovering the Constitution—Using the Ninth Amendment to Restore Civil Liberty; and The Naked Court—Understanding and Resisting a Damnable United States Supreme Court. His weekly commentaries can be found at senatorfowler94.substack.com.
Mr. Fowler lives with his wife of over 40 years in the Nashville area. They have one daughter and three grandchildren.
