David Ray Sebright, 43, beloved and adored, died on Saturday, Feb. 25, 2006. He passed away in his home after a lengthy illness.

David was born in East St. Louis, IL, on Aug. 28, 1962, and had resided in Chattanooga for the last 20 years. David received degrees from Lincoln Trail University and KasKaskia College and received his RN degree in 1992. David was employed by Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga and Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta. David was a registered nurse and devoted his life to caring for the sick and helped so many in his short life.

David was known for his kindness and grace to all. His generous and open heart never met a stranger, and his kind hand was always extended to help those in need.

He was preceded in death by his brother, David Lee Sebright, of Charleston, IL.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Lee Ann Sebright; stepdaughters, Christina and Ashley Cross, all of Hixson; father-in-law, Joseph McClure Howard, of Hixson; sister-in-law, Brigetta Nethery; and niece, Laura Nethery, both of Hixson; brother-in-law, Joseph Michael Howard and his wife, Connie Howard, of Hixson; mother-in-law, Mona Charlesworth and her husband, Brian Charlesworth, both of Hixson; his parents, David L. Sebright and Joan C. Sebright, of Altamont, IL; brother, Daniel Sebright, of Charleston; sister, Caroline Jakubowski and her husband, Robert Jakubowski; his nieces and nephews, Joseph Sebright, Joshua Sebright and Ashley Sebright, all of Vandalia, IL; sister, Joanie Milleville, and her husband, Phil Milleville; his niece, Annie Milleville, of Clarksville, TN; and nephews, Aaron Milleville, of Wichita, KS, Mark Milleville and Thomas Milleville, both of Carbondale, IL.

A Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, at St. Jude Catholic Church with Father David Carter officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 2-9 p.m. on Wednesday with a Rosary to be said at 8 p.m. with Father David Carter officiating.

Arrangements are by Williamson & Sons Funeral Home in Soddy-Daisy.
