Deborah Olene “Debbie” Johnson, born on November 10, 1955, joined her heavenly father on Friday, April 26, 2024, with her loving daughters by her side.

She graduated from Kirkman Technical High School in 1973. Debbie was a homemaker when her daughters were young. Later in life, she was a secretary at Chattanooga Christian School from 1990-2001. Debbie loved her children and her grandchildren to the moon and back.

She was preceded in death by her parents, J.O. Sr., and Ella Sisk Johnson; son-in-law, Bobby Bowling; brothers, Lloyd, Arby, JO. Jr., Joe Lee, Hubert and Don Johnson; and sisters, Mildred Smith, Dot York, Doris Downey, and Gladys Johnson.

Debbie is survived by her daughters, Jennifer Bowling and Jamie (Howard) Connell; six grandchildren, Chris and Madi Bowling, Dillian (Hannah), Lainey and Eli Connell; sister, Jeannette (Ray) Hughes; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Per Debbie’s request, no visitation or services will be held.

The family would like to thank NHC Sequatchie and Hospice of Chattanooga for their loving care.
