Casavant Resigns From Erlanger Board

Former County Commissioner Richard Casavant has resigned from the Hospital Authority board that operates Erlanger Health Systems.

He was appointed by County Mayor Jim Coppinger and confirmed by the County Commission in April 2011.

The appointment is for a four-year term ending April 18, 2015.

Dr. Casavant, of Signal Mountain, is the retired dean of the college of business at UTC.

Dr. Ron Loving, board chairman, announced the resignation.
